By using a glass crystal you can break up the beam output from the laser reflected from the mirror as used in method one.
A method used to split the pattern into multi beams.
The modulated "sound beam" is diffracted by the crystal on the end of the arm.
As the laser light is reflected from the mirror, the music coming out of the speaker is pushing the mirror in and out of step with the rhythm of the (drums/bass) track, causing the laser beams to "draw a picture" of the sound.
When this modulated beam of light is passed through the crystal lattice, it is split up into many small dancing beams creating a multi-beam dance sequence.
